It is my passion and purpose in life to partner with souls just like yours who want to elevate and live a purposeful life.
This means connecting deeply with the person of Jesus and in doing so discovering the importance of your unique gifts and calling and how to effectively steward each.
I have come to learn that every experience, role, station, and trial in life can be leveraged to hone and develop your gifts and calling.
The only prerequisites are self-awareness and a willingness to submit to the learning process.
Why coaching and consulting:
In 2011, I was at a point in my life where I was weary of the myriad of challenges women in full-time ministry leadership faced. So I opted for my personal career safety - Corporate America. This self-imposed ministry sabbatical gave me the exposure to the workings of major corporations and all its trappings: the 9-5 cubical walls, the C-suite jockeying, the corporate ladder climb and descent.
8 years and I had caught my stride -- the proverbial corporate climb was on! Relocation to sunny California and a promotion was set in motion. One would say, I was living the "good" life.
But then....
Through an "oh-mylanta", providential, God-orchestrated circumstance, my world was rocked! I had a breakdown questioning where I was and quite frankly, who I was.
I spent a significant amount of time reflecting, praying,soul-searching and wearing my community out. It was in this difficult space where I came to realize that I was out of alignment with my greatest purpose.
I know now that I am most fulfilled when I am living the life ordained and designed for me. That for me means I am walking in purpose my purpose when: I am developing Christian leaders, empowering believers, and equipping ministry teams for greater effectiveness. SUCH CLARITY!
And now, I want to walk alongside you to do the same!
A bit more personal:
I am a life learner and I love my share of books and inspirational speakers. I find great joy perched on a beach, sipping ice tea, engrossed in a good book or conversation.
I am a mom to three gifted daughters: Mystic, Faith, and Zoe. This is the greatest honor and responsibility bestowed upon me.
Further, I deeply believe in COMMUNITY! Everyone needs a BFF, a coach, and a tribe!
My BFF, affectionately known as Kimmie, we have been sister-friends for more than two decades. She has been there through many hills and valleys in my life and have encouraged me through it all. And yes, any significant time around us promises to be entertaining. My coach and pastor, Mark Garcia, keeps me pressing towards the mark of the higher calling. And my tribe: JD, AB, Nai, Erin, Winnie, and Shan are in my life to encourage and to hold me accountable. COMMUNITY MATTERS!
A Bit More Professional:
I am a Certified Life Coach and am credentialing as a Professional Certified Coach through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) and the International Coach Federation (ICF).
In addition to my Life Coach experience, I am an ordained minister. I have 20 years of ministry experience in church administration, teaching, spiritual formation, staff & ministry development and volunteerism. I am a certified practitioner in the DiSC Personality Types.
In addition to ministry experience, I have worked for major financial institute in Human Resources on a Learning and Development team, where I was responsible for creating and leading Emerging Leaders Program, leadership coaching, and team development. I am a certified practitioner in the Myers-Briggs Type (MBTI) Personality, Voices 360-Feedback , Emotional Intelligence 360.
My degrees include a masters in Human Service Counseling with an emphasis is Life Coaching from Liberty University and a bachelors in Organizational Leadership from Ohio Christian University and a minor in Psychology from San Diego State University.
